“Frustrated, obviously. Never like losing games, especially in the manner that we lost today. I thought we did well in the first half and created a lot of opportunities. They scored a great goal from the edge of the box, but we get ourselves back into the game going into halftime. Then we just came out flat. Allowing a team like Louisville to go two goals up after five minutes into the second half, we can’t allow teams to do that. We built momentum into the second half, created some decent opportunities and got one right at the end. It just didn’t land for us to get that equalizing goal. It really did come down to those five minutes in the second half. We talk about it a lot. How do we get that intensity? How do we start the half like we finished? That is going to be a real reflection point going into the next game.”
On conceding two goals right after halftime
“We were very complimentary of the first half. I thought we created some really good opportunities. We felt we were back into the game just getting the goal just before halftime, and it’s just been a moment where we just switched off and then we conceded another one and we can’t allow that to happen... As soon as that whistle goes, we’ve got to be straight at it. We were very passive in that moment and so we got punished for it. We’ll learn from it. We need to respond in the right way and we definitely will.”

“We kind of talked about it, the last 20 or so minutes, we were on fire. We kind of just need to have that leading into all minutes of the game. Being present the whole game, however many miutes it is on offense and on defense. It is a tough one, but there are definitely lessons to be learned.”
On her first assist with the Pride
“[Angelina] has such great service, so I told her I would find it. I told her just to find the middle of the box and I would find it. Thankfully [Barbra Banda] was there to redirect in the goal to get that second goal.”
On the message from the coaching staff before coming into the match as a substitute
“There was still lots of time left. You saw that we can score pretty quickly. I feel like if we had five more minutes, we were going to get another one. Really, the message was that the game is not over yet and to lock it down in the back but also create any chances that we can up front.”
