ORLANDO, Fla., (July 12, 2024) - The National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) today announced the 11 players named to the Best XI of the Month, presented by Amazon Prime, for the month of June by the NWSL Media Association and the NWSL’s on-air broadcast talent. Five teams are represented in the league’s Top 11, with two members of the Orlando Pride in forward Barbra Banda and goalkeeper Anna Moorhouse.

Banda scored three goals and recorded three assists in four games to extend her electric start to the NWSL season. Banda notched her fourth brace of the season on June 21 in the Pride’s 6-0 win over the Utah Royals, tying the league record for most two-goal games in a season. She also recorded two assists in that match, playing a part in four of the team’s six goals. She also became the first NWSL player in history to score 12 goals in her first 12 appearances and helped the Pride remain the only unbeaten team in the league.

Moorhouse recorded 20 saves, allowing just one goal throughout June, to help the Pride extend their undefeated run this season. The England international held a save percentage of 95.24 percent throughout the month and recorded her third-straight clean sheet in the Club’s 3-0 victory over Angel City FC on June 30. She has seven clean sheets so far this year, which ties the Club record for most clean sheets in a single season, a record she set last year. Most recently, Moorhouse also earned her first call up to England’s senior national team.

The Pride will return to action on Saturday, July 20, facing the North Carolina Courage in its opening group stage game of the NWSL x Liga MX Femenil Summer Cup. The match is set to kick off at 7:30 p.m. ET in Cary, N.C and will air on Paramount+.
