The run matched the club’s longest scoring streak of the 2026 season, previously set across its first nine matches of the campaign, while the loss to Huntsville marked just the second time OCB has been shut out this year after a 1-0 defeat to New England Revolution II on May 17.

Orlando City Academy forward Matthew Belgodere made his 10th professional start for Orlando City B in the Lions’ match against Huntsville City FC. The 16-year-old has contributed three goals and one assist since making his professional debut in the season opener on March 2, highlighted by a game-winning strike against Carolina Core FC on June 7, while also earning MLS NEXT Rising Star of the Matchweek honors on two occasions this season.
Trombino Earns All-Star Start
Orlando City Academy midfielder Caleb Trombino represented Orlando City B at the MLS NEXT All-Star Game on July 27, earning a place in the Eastern Conference starting XI and helping the East to a 6-1 victory over the Western Conference. The 16-year-old has made 13 appearances and four starts for OCB this season since making his professional debut in the Lions’ season opener against Huntsville City FC on March 2, highlighted by his first professional goal in a March 14 victory over Carolina Core FC.

Saturday’s match will mark the first meeting between Orlando City B and MLS NEXT Pro expansion side CT United FC. The Lions enter the contest fifth in the Eastern Conference standings with a record of 8W-5L-6D (35 points), while CT United sits eighth with a mark of 9W-8L-2D (31 points), with the two sides separated by just four points entering the weekend. The Lions have scored 40 goals and conceded 34 this season, compared to CT United’s 35 goals scored and 33 allowed.
