KISSIMMEE, Fla. (June 25, 2025) – Orlando City B (6-7-1, 20 points) came up short against Toronto FC II (6-5-3, 21 points), falling 2-1 at Osceola County Stadium on Wednesday night. With the loss, the Lions now sit in a two-way tie for eighth place in the Eastern Conference.
Toronto FC II opened the scoring in the fourth minute as they found the back of the net via a through ball from just beyond the Lions’ 16-yard box to take the early lead. Orlando City B would strike back in the 40th minute with a goal from defender Noham Abdellaoui on a volley off a free kick from midfielder Jhon Solís to level things up going into the halftime break. The goal was the first of Abdellaoui's career with OCB, while Solís recorded his 12th career assist on the set piece conversion.
With ten minutes left in regular time, Toronto took the lead again through midfielder Antone Bossenberry following an OCB turnover in its own box. Despite multiple chances on goal for the Lions the rest of the way, the 80th minute goal for Toronto proved to be the deciding factor.
