Orlando City’s Designated Players are enjoying a remarkable run of form, recording the second-most goal contributions on the scoresheet than any other DP trio in Major League Soccer, trailing only intrastate rivals Inter Miami CF (73). Luis Muriel has been a consistent presence in the attack, recording 17 goal contributions with nine goals and eight assists, while Marco Pašalić has added to the firepower with 12 goals and four assists, bringing his total to 16. Altogether, the three have combined for an impressive 64 goal contributions to date.

Decision Day Dynamos

Orlando City SC holds a 3-2-0 record on Decision Day in the previous five seasons under Head Coach Oscar Pareja, highlighted by several dramatic victories. The Lions secured Audi MLS Cup Playoffs berths on the final day of the regular season in 2021 at CF Montréal and 2022 at home against the Columbus Crew, both against direct rivals for postseason spots. Notably, Orlando City has also won both of its away Decision Day matches under Pareja, in Montréal in 2021 and two years ago against Saturday’s opposition in Toronto in 2023, making the Lions undefeated on the road in such fixtures.

Orlando City has dominated Toronto FC under Oscar Pareja, posting an impressive 8-1-1 record with a +15 goal differential. The Lions are unbeaten at BMO Field during Pareja’s tenure, holding a 3-0-1 mark and winning three straight in Toronto. Their most recent victory came in 2024, a 2-1 result featuring a goal from Martín Ojeda and a decisive own goal just before halftime. Orlando hasn’t lost at BMO Field since 2018. Several Lions have consistently performed well against Toronto. Duncan McGuire has scored four goals in four career appearances against the Reds, including a memorable strike on Decision Day 2023 when he flicked the ball over retiring captain Michael Bradley before firing into the far corner.
