Milestones

- Antoine Griezmann can become the first player in Orlando City history to score in five consecutive MLS regular season matches if he scores against Toronto on Saturday. Griezmann would also match Daryl Dike’s all competitions record of five straight games with a goal, which Dike set in his final five appearances with the club in 2021 before his move to England.

- Martín Ojeda needs three goals (all competitions) to tie Facundo Torres’ Orlando City club record of 47 career tallies. Ojeda is three assists away from Mauricio Pereyra’s club record, also 47.

- Daryl Dike’s next appearance will be his 50th for Orlando City in all competitions. His next goal will be his 22nd for the club, tying former teammate Chris Mueller for ninth on the Lions’ all-time scoring list. 

- Marco Pašalić is two goals away from 20 for the club across all competitions, three behind Dike.

- Antoine Griezmann made yet more magic on Wednesday night at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, scoring twice and clearing a potential Atlanta goal off the line in a 3-2 Orlando City victory over its Georgia rival. Griezmann has scored six goals over his past four games, a span in which Orlando is 3W-0L-1D. The Lions are 5W-0L-1D in all competitions when Griezmann scores. The Frenchman also became the fastest player in Orlando City history to 10 MLS goal contributions, beating Nani’s previous record by accomplishing the feat in just nine matches. 

- Orlando has been one of the best teams in the league since the World Cup, going 5W-2L-2D in nine games with Antoine Griezmann in the starting XI. The Lions have scored 18 goals over those nine matches while conceding just 12 times, cutting their goals allowed per 90 minutes by more than half (2.9 to 1.3). Orlando City has leapt up the Eastern Conference table from 12th place during the World Cup to sixth place at present, its highest position of the 2026 season.

- Griezmann’s connection with Homegrown phenom Justin Ellis continues to bear fruit. Ellis assisted Griezmann’s second goal against Atlanta, the fourth helper the Florida native has provided the World Cup winner since the latter’s debut. Ellis is up to 10 assists in all competitions, tying Iván Angulo for the team lead.

- Martín Ojeda picked up his 44th Orlando City assist in all competitions on Angulo’s goal, putting him just three behind Mauricio Pereyra for the club’s all-time record. Ojeda also went over the 10,000 career-minute mark against Atlanta, making him the third player on the active roster with at least 10,000 minutes played for the club after Robin Jansson and Angulo.

Meet the opponent: Atlanta United

- Orlando City has dominated Toronto FC in recent years, going 8-2-1 with a +13 goal differential against the Reds since the start of 2020. Toronto did enjoy the last laugh in 2025, though, beating the Lions 4-2 at BMO Field on Decision Day to send Orlando tumbling from sixth down to ninth in the East. 

- Martín Ojeda has 2g/1a against Toronto in six career appearances, while Iván Angulo has four assists against the Reds in seven games. Toronto’s top two Lion-killers are winger Derrick Etienne Jr. (5g/2a in 15 matches) and attacking midfielder Djordje Mihailovic (3g/6a in 13 games). Saturday would mark a first-ever game for Antoine Griezmann against a team from Canada in club competition.

- Toronto, like Orlando, has found its footing in the second half of the MLS season and will enter Saturday’s match on a seven-game unbeaten streak dating back to late July. The Reds’ last result was their best of the season, knocking off Supporters’ Shield-leading Nashville 2-1 in come from behind fashion on Wednesday night.

- United States international striker Josh Sargent leads the line for Toronto. The Missouri native has seven goals in 17 games since joining the side from Norwich City for a reported $22 million fee (up to $27 million with add-ons). Sargent produced a hat trick in the Reds’ thrilling 4-4 draw with Chicago last weekend and is tied with Dániel Sallói for the team lead in goals. 

- Sallói has enjoyed a strong season, producing 7g/9a while appearing in all 24 matches for Toronto. Mihailovic has been limited to just 2g/5a in 12 games due to injury and missed out on Wednesday night due to a lower body issue.

- Orlando attacker Tyrese Spicer was drafted No. 1 overall by Toronto in 2024. After struggling to break into the first team for the Reds, Spicer was traded to Orlando last summer and has blossomed into an electric winger with the Lions, producing 8g/5a in all competitions this season.
