Milestones, storylines and more ahead of the Lions match hosting Montréal in "The Road Ahead" driven by Audi:

Milestones

- With a win, Orlando City can avoid its seventh straight loss in all competitions dating back to October 2025, which would mark the longest run of consecutive defeats in club history. The Lions lost nine straight MLS regular-season matches in 2018, but that streak was broken by a victory in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup.

- Orlando is looking for its first home win in five games, last earning three points at Inter&Co Stadium on September 20, 2025, against Nashville SC.

- Duncan McGuire’s next goal, his 31st in all competitions for Orlando City, will tie Nani for fourth place in club history.

Stats & Storylines

- On Wednesday, Orlando City announced it had mutually parted ways with head coach Oscar Pareja. The Colombian departs as the winningest and longest-tenured head coach in club history, ending his run with a 101-71-67 record in all competitions. Pareja guided the Lions to the MLS Cup Playoffs in each of his six seasons in charge and led the club to its first MLS-era trophy, the 2022 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup. Former Orlando City B head coach and current first team assistant Martin Perelman will assume Pareja’s duties on an interim basis.

- Wth a new man in charge, Orlando City will look to bounce back this weekend against CF Montréal at Inter&Co Stadium. The match will be the last the Lions play at home until April 18. Orlando faces Nashville, LAFC, and Columbus away from home across a four-week span, with a bye week during the international break on the final weekend of March.

- The Lions saw another debut last weekend at NYCFC as they continue to break in a young and fresh roster. With Wilder Cartagena out injured, Eduard Atuesta coming back from an injury of his own, and Colin Guske suspended, 18 year-old Brazilian midfielder Luís Otávio was handed his first start and played 45 minutes against the Pigeons.

- Orlando City has debuted eight different players through three matches, five of whom were under the age of 22 at the time of their debut (Otávio, Tiago, Iago, Tahir Reid-Brown, Nolan Miller).

- Orlando currently ranks second to last in MLS in possession at 38.5%, only ahead of Houston (35.9%). A good portion of this, as well as the Lions’ league-leading 11 goals allowed, can be explained by their two red cards. Orlando is one of four teams in MLS to have two players sent off through the first three matchdays. Six of the Lions’ 11 goals conceded have come when down a man.

Meet the opponent: CF Montréal

- Orlando City is unbeaten in six against CF Montréal in all competitions and have not lost to their northern foes at Inter&Co Stadium since 2021.

- After getting blown out in each of their first two games of 2026, losing to San Diego and Chicago by a combined 8-0 scoreline, Montréal shocked the MLS world last weekend with a 3-0 victory over previously-unbeaten Red Bull New York at Sports Illustrated Stadium. Prince Owusu opened the match with an early PK goal and former Red Bull Wiki Carmona notched a brace against his former club.

- Montréal finished in 13th place with just 28 points in 2025, its fewest in a full 34-game season since 2014. CFM has only qualified for the MLS Cup Playoffs in three of the past nine seasons and has only cleared 46 points on one occasion, its triumphant 65-point 2022 season under former head coach Wilfried Nancy.

- Owusu is coming off a career year in 2025, notching 13g/5a while appearing in all 34 matches for Montréal and starting all but two. The former TFC striker has scored twice in five games against Orlando City.
