ORLANDO, Fla. — Orlando Health and Orlando City Soccer Club have partnered to recognize academic excellence through their “Jerseys for Good Grades” program, which recognized 29 exceptional students from Orange Center Elementary School who have demonstrated outstanding performance throughout this past school year.
“Programs like ‘Jerseys for Good Grades’ reflect our deep commitment to the health and future of our community,” said Sara Osborne, Senior Director of Community Benefit at Orlando Health. “By celebrating these students’ academic achievements, we’re not only rewarding their hard work, but also helping to build confidence, pride, and momentum that will carry them forward in school and in life.”
“We are excited to collaborate with Orlando Health on this community initiative to drive excellence in the classroom,” said Kaia Forget, Orlando City SC VP of Community Impact & DEI. “Using the sport of soccer to generate an impact in our community is an important part of our mission as a Club and we look forward to growing the ‘Jerseys for Good Grades’ program in the future.”
“Jerseys for Good Grades” recognizes students with excellent attendance, strong reading skills and solid overall grades. Each student who completed the program received an Orlando City SC jersey, a certificate of achievement and high-fives from fan-favorite mascots Scrubs, from Orlando Health, and Kingston, from Orlando City SC. All participating students and their families will also be treated to a special night out at an upcoming Orlando City SC match at Inter&Co Stadium.
Orlando City SC and Orlando Health remain dedicated to creating meaningful partnerships that inspire, empower, and uplift the Central Florida community, starting with its youngest members.
