ORLANDO, Fla. (Jan. 6, 2026) – Orlando City SC announced today it has signed goalkeeper Maxime Crépeau via free agency through the 2027-28 Major League Soccer season.

His ability to speak multiple languages and his international experience will help him connect seamlessly with our diverse group and further elevate leadership in the locker room. Crépeau, 31, joins the Lions after two seasons with the Portland Timbers, following stints with LAFC and the Vancouver Whitecaps. The Greenfield Park, Quebec, native began his professional career with CF Montréal and has appeared in 234 matches across all competitions, recording 58 career clean sheets.
The Canadian shot-stopper has won numerous honors throughout his 13-year career, including the 2022 MLS Cup and Supporters’ Shield with LAFC, two Canadian Championships with CF Montréal (2013, 2014) and the USL Goalkeeper of the Year award in 2018 during his loan spell with Ottawa Fury FC. He was also named a finalist for the 2021 MLS Goalkeeper of the Year award.
At the international level, Crépeau has earned 29 caps for Canada, keeping 10 clean sheets. He made his senior debut on Feb. 5, 2015, in a friendly against the United States.
Orlando City will open its 2026 campaign on Saturday, Feb. 21, against Red Bull New York at Inter&Co Stadium. The home opener, presented by Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute, kicks off at 7:30 p.m. ET on Apple TV. Tickets are available here.
