ORLANDO, Fla. (Jan. 30, 2025) ā Orlando City SC has re-signed goalkeeper Carlos Mercado to a First Team contract through 2025, with Club options in 2026 and 2027, it was announced today.

Mercado served as Orlando City Bās primary goalkeeper in MLS NEXT Pro last season, helping lead the Lions to their second straight appearance in the MLS NEXT Pro Playoffs. During the 2024 campaign, the Laredo, Texas, native made 83 saves in 20 starts, maintaining a 1.50 goals against average and earning nine wins and six draws in those matches.
The 25-year-old goalkeeper signed an MLS NEXT Pro contract with Orlando City B ahead of the 2024 season and signed a deal to move up to the First Team and MLS in September later last year.
