ORLANDO, Fla. (Aug. 7, 2025) – Orlando City SC has acquired defender Adrián Marín from Sporting Clube de Braga in the Primeira Liga, Portugal’s top tier, it was announced today. Marín joins the Lions via transfer through 2026, with a Club option for 2027, pending receipt of his P-1 Visa and International Transfer Certificate (ITC).

Marín, 28, developed in the academy of La Liga’s Villareal CF, making his professional debut for the Spanish side in a UEFA Europa League Qualifying match against FC Astana on Aug. 28, 2014. Since then, the Spanish left back has featured in 212 matches, scoring six goals and providing six assists across all competitions for various clubs in Europe, including Villarreal, Deportivo Alavés, and most recently, SC Braga where he won the 2023/24 Portuguese League Cup. With Villareal and Braga, Marín made a combined 12 appearances in the UEFA Europa League, while also featuring in two UEFA Champions League matches for Braga.
A native of Torre-Pacheco, Spain, has featured across various youth levels for Spain’s national teams, appearing in 11 matches for the Spain U-17s, U-18s, U-19s and U-21s, and scoring three goals for the U-19s during his international career.
