ORLANDO, Fla. (August 15, 2017) - Following Saturday’s win at Richmond, Orlando City B (6-6-10, 28 points) returns to Orlando City Stadium to host Ottawa Fury FC (7-7-6, 27 points) on Wednesday, Aug. 16, at 7:30 p.m. ET.

“They’re an interesting team. They’ve got quite a clear strategy, they want to get as many balls into the opposition’s box as possible," OCB head coach Anthony Pulis said. “Very, very direct. That’s the way they play, is to make you defend as much as possible. We know we’re going to have to defend the box well. Once we defend the box well, if we can pick up the second ball then there are areas where we can definitely exploit.”
Orlando City B defeated the Richmond Kickers on Saturday to earn its eighth clean sheet of the season and extend its unbeaten streak to eight games. Hadji Barry scored the game-winner in the 24th minute when he collected Pierre Da Silva’s pass from the wing and fired a shot inside the far post. The goal was Barry’s fifth of the season and Da Silva’s seventh assist, both team-highs.
The assist moved Da Silva into second place in the USL. Goalkeeper Earl Edwards, Jr. is tied for the league lead with eight clean sheets. OCB has allowed just four goals over its eight-game unbeaten run.
In its last match, Fury FC defeated the first-place Charlotte Independence 3-1. Eddie Edward started the scoring in the 37th minute before Gerardo Bruna scored the game-winner in the 52nd. Adonijah Reid also scored.
Sito Seoane leads Fury FC with five goals in 18 appearances while Carl Haworth leads the team with four assists in nine games. Ottawa will be led by interim head coach Julian de Guzman after Paul Dalglish resigned Tuesday morning.
This is the second meeting of the season between these two teams. Ottawa took a 1-0 decision on June 20 in Ontario in a match that began at 11 a.m.
OCB enters the match in ninth-place in the Eastern Conference, tied at 28 points with the defending champion New York Red Bulls II and one point ahead of Ottawa, though Fury FC has played two fewer games. OCB has 10 games remaining, six at home and four on the road.
The Lions face a quick turnaround when they visit Charlotte on Saturday, Aug. 19, at 7 p.m. ET. OCB then visits Louisville City FC the following week before returning to Orlando City Stadium to host Bethlehem on Aug. 31.
