ocb v cincy 2017 pt 3 preview

Following a scoreless draw against Harrisburg City on Wednesday, Orlando City B (5-6-9, 24 points) will travel to Ohio to face FC Cincinnati (8-7-6, 30 points) on Saturday, Aug. 5 at Nippert Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. ET.

The match will be streamed online at www.OrlandoCitySC.com/LIVE.

ā€œItā€™s going to be a tough game for us. Cincinnati will be full of confidence after winning in the [U.S. Open] Cup. We are obviously in a good position at the moment ourselves in the fact that weā€™ve been pleased with our performances, itā€™s just now, can we start adding to the end product?ā€ Head Coach Anthony Pulis said. ā€œBut itā€™s making sure that the guys are still positive and bubbly and understanding that weā€™ve been doing a lot of good things. Weā€™re looking forward to going there because it will be a big crowd and itā€™s always a really good atmosphere.ā€

Orlando City B picked up its seventh clean sheet of the season against the Harrisburg City Islanders. First Team goalkeeper Earl Edwards, Jr. earned his second straight clean sheet with three saves, the last of which was on a shot from outside the box in the 92nd minute.

Hadji Barry, Richie Laryea and Albert Dikwa are tied for the team lead with three goals. Pierre Da Silva sits third in the league with six assists, while Edwards is tied for second with seven clean sheets.

Cincinnati is 3-2-0 in its last five league matches and is coming off a 1-0 road win against Miami FC in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup quarterfinal on Aug. 2. Djiby Fall leads the team with 11 goals in 15 appearances, as does Kennedy Walker with four assists in 15 appearances.

This will be the third meeting between the two clubs this season. On May 13, Pierre Da Silva and Richie Laryea scored to earn the Lions three points in Cincinnati. Then on July 1, Jordan Schweitzer scored his first goal as a Lion in the second minute but FCC equalized and eventually drew, 1-1.

Next, the Lions will head to City Stadium where they will take on the Richmond Kickers on Saturday, Aug. 12. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. OCB returns to Orlando City Stadium on Wednesday, Aug. 16 to host Ottawa Fury FC. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET.
