Midfielder Lewis Neal and Goalkeeper Mark Ridgers were both named to the USL Team of the Week following Orlando City B’s two goal victory over Bethlehem Steel that lifted Orlando City B into the playoffs.
Neal had one of Orlando City B’s two goals in the match and played a crucial role in commanding the midfield. The goal was Neal’s second of the season, in addition to his two assists, and is up for USL Goal of the Week. Ridgers had five saves that earned the team a shutout, their fourth of the season.
The victory over Bethlehem Steel secured Orlando City B’s slot in the Eastern Conference playoffs in their inaugural USL season. While they’ll be facing one of the top teams in the league, Orlando City B will have momentum carrying them into this match. The team will face the New York Red Bulls II on Sunday, October 2nd at 4:00pm in New York.
