ORLANDO, Fla. (Nov. 7, 2026) — Orlando City SC (13-14-7, 46 points) defeated the New England Revolution (18-11-4, 58 points) 1-0 on Saturday evening at Inter.co Stadium, securing home-field advantage for the Audi 2026 MLS Cup Playoffs Wild Card match, which will be held on Thursday, Nov. 19.
The Lions and the Revs traded shots back and forth throughout the first half before Orlando struck just before halftime with a sensational volley from Brain Ojeda. Antoine Griezmann’s cross into the box was cleared and fell directly to Ojeda, who collected the clearance just outside of the box and let rip a rocket that climbed past goalkeeper Matt Turner and found the upper-right corner of the net in the 45th minute.
New England pushed for an equalizer throughout the second half, but the Lions' defense held firm behind goalkeeper Maxime Crépeau's fifth clean sheet of the 2026 MLS campaign to secure the result.
With the result, Orlando secured the No. 8 seed in the Audi 2026 MLS Cup Playoffs, clinching a postseason berth for the seventh consecutive season, the longest active streak in Major League Soccer. The Lions will begin their postseason run by hosting FC Cincinnati in the Wild Card round on Thursday, Nov. 19, at Inter.co Stadium at 7:30. p.m.

Interim Head Coach Martín Perelman:
"I think today was a very important game for us, the last one, Decision Day for us. It was important to close the regular season in a good manner in our stadium, at home, with our fans and our families, and also to help us as we look ahead to the playoffs. So, it was a good night for us."
Orlando City SC Midfielder Braian Ojeda [Interpreted from Spanish]:
“We were doing things well. We were really good tonight defensively, and I think we've improved a lot defensively over the course of the year, and that really helped us get the result tonight. I'm really happy about the goal. It surprised me, but I was really happy with the goal and to get the win."
Goalkeeper Maxime Crépeau:
“Well, look, happy with the win. Happy with the win, obviously, that was the main focus for tonight, controlling what we can in the circumstances that we had. Everybody is aware that Columbus Crew scored in the last minute, so obviously we will host FC Cincinnati. So, we’re enjoying tonight because it was a performance that the guys worked hard for. Very happy with the three points and obviously having a good send-off for our captain, Robbie [Robin Jansson].”
