Galaxy Preview

ORLANDO ā€“ May 15, 2015 ā€“ Orlando City SC (2-5-3, 9 points) will return to the Orlando Citrus Bowl on Sunday night for a primetime contest against five-time Major League Soccer (MLS) Cup Champions, LA Galaxy (3-3-5, 14 points). Kick-off is scheduled for 5 p.m. ET.

Over 33,000 tickets have been sold in advance of the fixture, and tickets can be purchased by calling 855-ORL-CITY or by visiting www.OrlandoCitySC.com. In addition, the match will broadcast live on ESPN2 ā€“ City's second nationally televised game this week. It will also air on Real Radio 104.1 FM and La Grande 1030 AM (Spanish).

"We're looking forward to the game this weekend," said head coach Adrian Heath. "It's a great opportunity for our supporters to come and look at arguably the biggest club in MLS and certainly the most successful. We're looking forward to it. We expect a great crowd and maybe our first (home) win."

After falling to D.C. United on the road on Wednesday night, Orlando City will aim to continue building momentum in front of its home fans on Sunday. In their previous two matches at the Citrus Bowl, the Lions have produced five goals, defeating Ponte Preta 3-2 in an international friendly and drawing the New England Revolution 2-2 in league play.

Rookie forward Cyle Larin has been in excellent goal-scoring form as of late for City, scoring three times in his last three matches. After finding the back of the net against Ponte Preta and the New England Revolution, the number one overall SuperDraft pick scored a superb effort against D.C. United on Wednesday night, blasting his shot through traffic and into the top corner from the edge of the area. Larin's goal in the 11th minute was the quickest finish in Orlando City's history.

One of the most storied teams in the league, the defending MLS Cup Champions venture into Sunday's game for their third consecutive away match ā€“ previously drawing Real Salt Lake 0-0 and losing 2-1 to FC Dallas at Toyota Stadium on May 9.

Boasting the likes of Ireland National Team and MLS Designated Player Robbie Keane and U.S. Men's National Team Players Gyasi Zardes and Omar Gonzalez, the Galaxy are currently sitting in the sixth place in the Western Conference, failing to win a game on the road so far this season with three losses and three draws.

However, despite losing Keane to a groin injury against Vancouver Whitecaps FC on April 4, the Galaxy have still managed to secure nine points in six matches. Stefan Ishizaki leads the team in assists with four, while forward Alan Gordon leads the team in goals (3).
